Weddings Should Be Fun

It is really hard to find good people these days. Planning weddings has become such big business, that the personal touch is all but gone. It seems that everyone tries to out do everyone else and somewhere in all that mess, I am afraid that young couples are forgetting some of the reasons they were getting married in the first place. I recently attended the wedding of my nephew. He and his beautiful bride were determined to have a relaxing, fun, memorable celebration...and they did it. You could tell from the moment you saw the two of them that they weren't hung up on the formality of the event. They laughed, they loved and they created a day to remember for themselves and for all of their guests. By the way, they also had a sitter to take care of the kids. The kids had pizza while we had steak and lobster. Everyone was happy. It isn't the amount of money that is spent on a wedding, it the amount of love.

Kids or No Kids

More and more I find that brides don't want to include the children of their guests. Receptions become extremely expensive especially when your "per person" costs include little ones that probably won't enjoy your lobster dinner anyway. What about hiring childcare for your guests' children?
